Ask yourself one question: “What is preventing me from being physically and mentally the best I can be?” Then, if you want some examples of what the human body is capable of, look no further than the Rio 2016 Paralympics.

Here some of the most inspiring people in the world show that whatever troubles and obstacles you face, there is always amazing potential for you to fulfil your ambition and be the best you can be.

What’s stopping you?

Often an injury, or underlying dysfunction that leads to injury, can prevent a person from fulfilling their physical potential. If this is the case for you and your aim is to recover from an injury, chiropractic is fantastic for treating a whole range of problems including, but not limited to, the following;

low back pain
neck pain
whiplash
headaches and migraines
shoulder pain
Tennis elbow
plantar fasciitis
knee pain
hip pain.

There is usually an underlying reason for these injuries occurring; poor posture, joint dysfunction, poor muscle co-ordination – all of these can eventually lead to an injury that will have a negative impact on your life. Chiropractic targets these areas of dysfunction before they reach that stage.

Top athletes know that prevention is better than cure

This summer, Manchester United broke the world record transfer fee when it bought Paul Pogba for over £89 million. Now, do you think he will only receive care when he’s injured? Absolutely not! The focus will be to target non-painful areas of dysfunction before they lead to pain or injury. Because once he’s injured it’s too late, he is worth £0 to the team when he’s not able to play.

Top athletes understand that it is crucial to see a chiropractor to prevent injury and improve performance. Many athletes such as Rory McIlroy, Andy Murray, and Mo Farah all rely on chiropractors to help them remain on top form. However, don’t just take our word for it. Tiger Woods says; “I’ve been going to a chiropractor for as long as I can remember. It’s as important to my training as practising my swing.”

Whatever your age, chiropractic works

Now older readers of this blog may be thinking, “That’s all well and good but I’m passed retirement age now so what can chiropractic do for me?” Whilst it’s true that in later life you’re unlikely to be competing against Usain Bolt, you will still want to be strong and mobile and able to enjoy life. Because retirement really should be a time when can enjoy life and there is no greater frustration than your body holding you back from doing the things you want to do! Whatever your age, chiropractors have lots of ways of helping improve mobility and posture, which in turn will help you be the best you can be at any stage in your life.

So, whatever your answer was to the original question, a Willow chiropractor would love to work with you to help you to be the best you can possibly be.

To your better health.
